Ke$ha To Be Honored By The Humane Society ? New Music, Music ...

Ke$ha, an outspoken animal advocate, who calls her fan base Animals, will be honored by The Humane Society for her ?animal instincts.?

On March 23 Ke$ha will be named Humane Society International?s first Global Ambassador for animals.

?My affinity with animals and the natural world inspires me and my music,? she said.

Ke$ha doesn?t hide her love of animals and the importance for animal protection. She has spread awareness about street dogs, seal slaughter, dogfighting and cruelty-free cosmetics.

?It means so much to me to be recognized by The Humane Society of the United States because advocating for animals is second nature to me,? Ke$ha said.?I don?t understand how anyone can justify abusing or exploiting animals, and as long as it continues, I intend to keep talking about it.?

Each month Ke$ha highlights a new animal issue urging her fans to stand up and take action. This February she stresses people save pets from being put to sleep, something her family has always done.?

?Every year, millions of cats and dogs suffer and die in the United States and around the world,? she writes. ?Nationwide, an estimated 6-8 million homeless kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs enter animal shelters every year. Tragically, about half are put down. Most of those are healthy, sweet pets who would have made great companions but sometimes there are just not enough loving homes.?

She then approached the subject of World Spay Day (February 26) to raise awareness of the importance to spay or neuter pets.
